Donkey Interaction Rules & Safety Agreement 

Cooper's Ridge Ranch Events, 20632 Anson Way, Wildomar, CA 92595

For everyone’s safety, all participants must follow these rules while interacting with the donkeys.

General Safety

  • Follow all staff instructions at all times.

  • Closed toe shoes are mandatory.  Long pants are highly encouraged.

  • Walk calmly — no running, yelling, or sudden movements.

  • Stay aware of your surroundings.

Around the Donkeys

  • Never stand directly behind a donkey.

  • Approach donkeys slowly and from the side.

  • Pet only on the neck, shoulder, or side unless instructed otherwise.

  • Do not pull ears, tails, mane, or equipment.

  • Do not climb on, sit on, or lean against the donkeys.

Children

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Children must stay within arm’s reach of their supervising adult.

  • Adults are responsible for their child’s behavior and safety.

Activities & Treats (If Applicable)

  • Donkeys may move suddenly, step sideways, or kick while eating.

  • Stay in designated areas during activities.

  • Keep hands, bodies, and faces clear of donkey legs and hooves and teeth.

  • Follow staff direction regarding where to stand and when to interact.

Behavior & Participation

  • Anyone acting unsafely may be asked to step away.

  • Do not participate if unable to follow instructions.

By participating, I acknowledge that interaction with animals involves inherent risks and I agree to follow all safety rules.
